This is just another reason why morons should not be allowed to continue wasting valuable oxygen and water on this planet.  Whoever wrote this (note: I could care less who it is, even though it's ridiculously easy to find out, that's how little I think of whoever it is) is doing nothing more than filling space on a page to keep occupied.  All of these vehicles not only were originals, but also filled a void in car making knowledge that led to design improvements in other them stepping stones at the very least, but still noteworthy for their distinctiveness.  A trait NOT shared by the writer of this uninspired, uneducated waste of time to read.

Say what you will, I bought a well used a 1985 Cavalier when I was in college. It had a blown transmission, and about 75,000 miles on it at the time. I replaced the bad transmission, and drove the living SH%$ out of it for several years. The car was by far the most reliable I have ever had, including late model vehicles I now own. It also got 35 MPG, and that was a car built 30 years ago; kinda makes you wonder what is wrong wit hauto manufacturers today? They still cannot get much past that level of milage with all the modern technology.

Replying to fairfireman21's comment, Toyota CAN and WILL say that. The 1967 Toyota 2000GT is one of the most desirable cars, from what I've heard from EDUCATED car enthusiasts.

Mr. Foley is wrong about the Edsel.

It wasn't over in 1959.

It was made from 1958-1960.

Nova made the list?  Bah humbug ! I had 2 in the 70's & 80's...A '71 & a '72 both with 307's & 4 speeds.......68-72 were the BEST years. Get on ebay & check out the prices if they were such "bad cars"....

Ya know most people really don't care about some name heritage or slng unless it is in REALKLY poor taste. In fact NOVA also meant 'new' in lots of the world and was viewed just that way. Daihatsu by the way was a Korean product, not a Japanese.  Swinger was simply a match for the times and the muscle car era.  You have taken these name to seriously when most of us did NOT..  What sold the car, or not, was the car itself, not the name.
