Everyone knows that the doors, on the "General Lee" were welded on-purpose. This was mentioned in practically every episode. "Bo n Luke " welded the doors shut, so the car would qualify for racing.
Uncle Jessie spoke, for YEARS, about UN-welding the doors.
I agree with those who say that most internet journalists do NOT know their subject matter.

I guess the early Mustangs and Cameros weren't classics ??? Where do they get these writers who write about things that they don't have a clue about. No 55 56 or 57 Chevys no 68/69 Cameros or 65 66 Mustangs those were and are true classics and weren't even mentioned, Niether was my 58 Impala 348 4spd most who see it consider it a classic.Oh well!
