This person is a moron. Fiat "a great car ruined by sticker shock" Is it a great car or not? Lexus, you didn't even drive it... I personally like the aggressive styling. Do you have a problem with GM or something? Nothing wrong with the Saab, you call the SRX impressive but say the Saab is a turkey by association. MSN I always thought your reviews were far fetched but this just confirms it. This person is out of touch.

Why did not the Volt by Government Motors make the list?  Over priced, subsidized, and gets less MPG than several cars on this list.

What about ALL of the Electrics & hybrids the "Greenies" are shoving down our throats? The fact that they all have to be subsidized by the government means that none are economically feasible. The all-electrics will be a nightmare for any owners NOT living in San Diego or Hawaii (Watch what happens to your range when you turn on the heater or A/C !)  When a gas powered car runs out of gas, you can call for someone to bring you a can of gas. When your electric dies on the side of thew road, you've got to get your dead buggy to the charging staion. Lot 'o luck there , Sparky, especially in the middle of a blizzard.

Before you greenies start getting on my case, please note that i sell the charging stations for these clunkers. The manufacturers are all laughing their way to the bank. Of all the people i've known in this industry, NONE of them would buy an all-electric.

And last: When these abortions on wheels reach the end of their lives, with  those big  non-recyclable batteries on board, they'll be one of the biggest environmental disasters this country willl have to face.

I thought the article was well written and informative.  I wouldn't have bought any of these cars anyway, but it was still interesting to see how they came up with the list.

BTW, I don't care one iota about any of your friends that are marrying millionaires, so find another venue to advertise your little scam..

Don't pick on Saab - my hatchback (10 years old) has 207k miles w/o a major repair - sure, some brakes, realtively minor electric problems, regular oil changes - can any care say that?  They made a good car then, and they will make another one if GM gets out of their way.

Most new cars are ugly plastic junk. How about showing some good-looking and fuel efficient cars that came out. Like the new chrysler 300. It gets 31mpg, has an 8 speed transmission, and completely restyled form the 2005-2011 models. The newly restyled dodge charger is a very good looking car too. I generally like GM vehicles, but I think Chrysler is making very nice cars right now. Much better looking than the boring styles coming out of Ford and GM.

However, I cannot afford a new car and I will stick with my 1984 GMC C10 Sierra pickup truck. 350 5.7l v8, carburetor, 3 speed auto transmission,  power steering (its a feature), manual doors, locks, lights, and no abs or airbags. Its a huge box, and Its a tank because it is ALL steel. It also gets 12mpg. But I would not trade it for anything. Cars used to have character. They are trying to make all these new cars smaller and more futuristic-looking. Contrary to popular belief, they don't need to downsize cars to achieve fuel efficiency.

The Scion has "cool looks"? You've gotta be kidding, unless hideous is "cool."

MSN writers know nothing at all about cars.  I think they need to stop writing articles about them.

With that out of the way (and need I mention that William Gates is an automobile enthusiast of some sorts?  shame on you guys for hiring such poor skilled writers.)

Anyway.. I disagree with this writer about the Fiat 500.  Since when is ANY VERSION OF THAT CAR any good?  Sit in one.  See what I mean now?  Junk.

Also Civic Si? Was this car ever desiriable.  ITS A CIVIC!  get a clue. LOL  Civics always have sucked hard core.  Si is 'wanna be sports car'.  Pure crap.

I did like the one about the versa being like a pregnant cat though, that was lols..but entirely unrelated to writing about cars.

Meh this article has a lot of weak points.  Plus the lexus looks fine enough.  They're always trying to rip off of Mercedes Benz but always fail at it.  Look at the 2010 E-Class and compare it to the front of this lexus and see what I mean.

You can't take an econo box japan company and make a luxury car.  never will happen.  Lexus is just another japanese car, nothing more, nothing less.

And to the initial poster about Fiat 500, yep it is a P.O.S. avoid it.  Enjoy your past but avoid this one.  Actually I own an old 60s vw bug and can't say the same for the VW new beetle.

VW new beetle >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fiat 500 poop.  Anything that is nice of the same size is better than the Fiat 500 actually.  Even that turd scion in this review is better than the el cheapo fiat.

He says half the cars on this list are good cars? Diesel shouldnt cost more than gas. Long live turbo diesels with straight pipes and emissions equipment deleted.
