The Pathfinder and Lexus GX are the last mid size, V8 powered, body on frame SUVs on the market. Sad to see the Pathfinder drop off that list by switching to uni-body, V6 and CVT transmission. But I guess that’s the way the market is heading these days.
Good gas mileage and a comfortable drive and a car that can drive in the snow. What is so hard about that??? Keep you damn heated seats and Starbucks coffee cup holders. Make a car worth the money and useful! What don’t these high paid idiots understand?
No one that's a real 4 wheeler would ever call any of these an SUV. Give me a break if you took any of these off road they couldn't go 100 feet without getting stuck.
It's a shame that this is what the auto makers think of as an SUV today. Even Jeep is down to only one real SUV, the Wrangler. I have 3 Grand Cherokees 1996, 1997 and 2004. They will go anywhere to point them. I would be afraid to take a new Grand Cherokee on the Kokopelli trail in Utah. Been there and done it in the 2004 GC.
I must be getting old, thinking of the good old days, Bronco, Blazer, Scout and Jeep CJ. Gone but not forgotten.
