I'd like to know . Why does'nt someone try to go back to some of those original cars, and perfect the steam engine. We know that it works, because they were the first cars made. Seems like one of the automobile company's could jump on this and be the first to improve on what they had back then and become rich. I think water is pretty E

2012 Fuel EfficientCars. Not impressed. My 2009 Pontaic G 5 gets actual 39 mpg on the highway. My 1984 Ford Escort got 44 mpg actual on the highway.

mpg is all wrong, the volt onlt goes 40 miles or sobefore needing recharged, how is that so great

I think the VW Jetta is in the 40+ mpg range, did I miss something here?

These guys need to do more thorough research - What about Tesla (all-electric), Fisker (hybrid), Coda (all electric), BMW's EVs and VIA trucks (hybrid)? All with superior "gas" mileage.

Why no mention of the Mazda3 with SkyActiv? That thing gets 40+ mpg with a gas engine.

I don/t understand why that little Ford gets less MPG than a larger Focus. I have a 2008 Focus. It get 36 MPG on the highway consistantly and 27 around town. 33 for that little bug has got to be wrong
