I wonder where the writer of this article received his information.  He either did not do all his homework or his comparison is not apples to apples comparison.  More like apple to watermelon.

Must be Dodge didn't send there check to Msn. My 2013 Journey is averaging 26.4 mpg, but no mention.

I don't know how the "official" mpg of crossovers compares with real life, but the recent Hyundai and Kia fake mpg numbers shows you how incompetent the government is at generating true numbers.  I'd look at places like fuelly.com, fueleconomy.gov and find out what REAL drivers are reporting for cars.  They showed that the Hyundai Elantra, etc. weren't getting what they claimed, but cars like the Honda fit was getting 33 mpg compared to the 31 combined the epa lists.  The epa claims 35 hwy for the Honda Fit (they limit speed to 55 mpg) and I get around 42 if I hold my speed down to 60.

MSN is such a joke with these articles. Seems like their advertisers get the best ratings all the time.

The Toyota Rav4 gets better mileage than most these listed. Honda and Toyota usually match or beat the estimates on the window sticker, unlike Ford,Hyundai and Kia which all "mad mistakes calculating " fuel mileage

Nissan Juke looked so ugly. Ugh, I won't buy.  Oh well.......just the car is car. Whatever people like to be more comfortable.  I respect that.

i am dissappointed with the mileage on my Equinox.  while i never drive 55, a solid 65 - 70 mph nets me less than 28-29 mpg's.  i have never seen 30 mpg's, much less 32.   my last car, 09 G8 GXP was a gas guzzler (added to the window sticker) .  it was rated at 20 highway.  but i regularly got 24

+ mpg's at 70-75 mph.  does chevy or EPA rate economy cars differently than fast cars?  oh, and don't bother putting E85 in.  dropped my mpg's by about 5.  cheaper to buy, but lose it on mileage.

still, i love my little hauler.  will get 4wd and v6 next time.

I had a 2006 Outback XT Limited that was a death-trap.

Had to unload it at a loss.

It would rock VIOLENTLY side to side on only very slightly uneven asphalt.

The suspension was tall , mushy , and had almost no rebound control.

Check out complaints on carproblemzoo.com !
