Where's my Ford Fiesta?  It's like that car has disappeared.  For the past year, all of Ford's "focus" seems to have been on the Focus.  Well, I own the Fiesta and as far as I'm concerned it should be at the top of the list.  Love everything about it, especially the 34.5 mpg I get in the CITY, which is actually higher than they promised.

Well rounded list Kirk Bell of MSN Autos and done without relying on Consumer Reports hype, self promoting and propaganda

I'm glad you said small cars and not cheap cars or high mileage cars. Some of those are anything but cheap or fuel efficient. But that is a pretty good list.

What happened to the Ford Fiesta?  Though it sales were great and priced reasonable. Guess it wasn't a smart choice.

I own a Sonic. With about 10 months of ownership and 14k miles its been the best purchase I've ever made. It gets on average 36-37 miles and handles very well. Tires still have tons of life left, did good in the snow and looks good IMO. I just don't see how you could go wrong with this car- but to each his own. I don't think you should put to much weight on big reviews- user reviews tell more of the story- or long term tests like edmunds does. I won't knock the competition because I haven't owned it. But, if you want a sonic...I think its a great car.

funny no mention of prices in the article, since price is a significant part of any consumers choice.  Also, no mention of $ value of the cars mentioned.  There seems to be a relucants to report on the real value of the small cars.

give the consumer a break before you doll our drible.

The versa? Really? If ya don't care what a vehicle looks like... thatz one butt ugly vehicle! Many say itz down right Fuggly! A co-worker's wife talked him into one and he's literally embarrassed by it. I fully understand his situation and I sympathize with him. There are MANY better vehicles for the money out there at this time...and the lexus is NOT all itz hyped up to be...not for THAT kind of money.

I am a big ford fan, they are reliable, affordable cars for the working man. This is the majority of the country, it's no surprise to me that Ford is doing so well. They clearly have their **** together compared to Chrysler or GM who had to take a bail out; yeah they paid it back but that isn't the point. Ford Took no Bail OUT and has improved their line up with sporty, sleak, and current styling. Move over Toyota!
