To Jay, I should have done what you did. Not one American car.
Yeah, OK.
I just luv the comments on the Altima. I have an '03, one of the ones with the hand grenade 2.5 engines. It now burns two quarts for every 275 miles of use. It isn't worth fixing or replacing because of the age and mileage on it, but I have a 17 yr old S-10 Blazer with almost 200,000 on it and it runs like new.
Yeah, I'll buy a Japanese car again. Say what you want about GM & Ford, but everyone of their products has lasted a loooooooong time for me.
I recently purchased a vacuum cleaner based on consumer report's recommendations - It is a piece of junk that blows the dirt away before it gets to it. It now resides in the local landfill, and I'm using my 20 year old vacuum after replacing the belt for about $5.00. (I should have done that in the first place...) I would take these recommendations with more than a grain of salt. For me, many of these cars are not the least bit affordable. For example, why the Accord and not the Civic??? And why a $34,000 car??? And where are the Cruze, and all the rest of the low-end domestic cars...? This article is not about what I thought it was about... ![]()
Seriously? Try buying a replacement part for any one of these cars. VWs especially. Got a seat belt sensor go out? $350. These cars are fine while under warranty (you better live in an urban area other wise plan on taking off a day of work to drive to a dealer for service appointments).
Not one American-badged sedan here?
