I questions these cars as being great, but that's all opinion. What bothers me more is that the author obviously isn't a car enthusiast, as some "facts" are wrong.
For instance, the Cobalt SS is "supercharged" not "turbocharged." While the end result of both "charges" is increased power they are not the same thing.
Technically, a turbo is an exhaust driven supercharger. So all turbos are superchargers. But not all superchargers are turbos.
There's no such thing as a twin-screw turbo.
My take on this story is
GTO? Yes BUT the new GTO was a HUGE disappointment (I own a 66 and a 67) It was a flop from way before the first new version of one hit the showroom floor. a bland boring looking car that ran great and was fast. Few people want that . Buyers want a car that stands out and looks as good as it is fast. I don't recall every seeing one on the road because they look like any other boring 4cyl car
