Come on you reporters, writers, authors, or whatever the 'correct' lingo, title, etc. is for covering these articles, stories, etc. for MSN, AP, TV news, etc., .... out of the 'so-called' vehicles that you covered in this article alone,
ONLY FIVE were 'CARS.' The other seven.....were not family 'Cars.' I sure hope that one sunny day, you will be able to tell the difference (LOL).......
signed, a C...A...R... owner, no ...REALLY... a CAR owner (LOL).........
This argument over foreign vehicles seems a bit outdated. It made sense 20 years ago when Japanese cars were built in Japan, but now 90% of all Hondas sold in the US are built in the US. Also, there is a Kia plant in Georgia that I think builds the all the Sorentos. There are five (soon to be six) Toyota plants in the US, and almost all Subarus sold in the US are built in Lafayette, IN. So, just because they have Japanese names doesn't always mean they aren't American made.
This report said nothing about resale or reliability of which several are duds kia for example or the fact that cars like subaru used to be small and efficient and have grown to be almost as big of gas guzzlers as the big 3.
When consumers IE Stressed soccer mom demand better we will get better
I bought my first Subaru wagon in the mid 70's. Currently have a '99 and a 2006. Bought the '99 new. Have over 400 K in northern midwest driving on it. I use synthetic oil and have found a local mechanic. Not good experience with big dealer
service. Really good experience with the vehicles
The Kia Sorrento and Honda CR-V both made this liost while being in the same class as the GMC Terrain/Chevy Equinox. The Equinox/Terrain has a lower price, more options for the price, and blows both away in the fuel economy ratings. Neither of these vehicles gets 32 MPG highway like the Equinox/terrain. Nevermind the fact the Equinox/Terrain can actually tow things with a trailer hitch unlike the no power Honda and Kia.
These lists are totally bogus and still have a Japanese bias despite the fact American cars are less expensive and offer better quality and more options.
What I cant figure out is how Americans can think America is soo great when they wont buy anything American?
