Stop going after RAGERS and go after the IDIOTS that cause us to rage and lose control. To fix any problem, you must find the source and fix it. In this case, go after the inconsider people, the ones distracted and the ones that feel they're priledged enough to break laws. Unfortunately police cant write tickets for people being idiots or inconsiderate, therefore WE must take action and begin making it clear that we wont tolerate your holier then thou driving habits. This all seems to be getting worse everyday. Yes the end is near, IDIOTS are everywhere!
I disagree, Miami, FL has to be No. 1. Thousands if not millions of immigrants who are not aware of our laws, and in many cases barely drove in their country, plus many are undocumented or have no license (hundreds/thousands of hit and run through South Florida). Then we have the influx of tourist from all around the world. In New York (and bigger cities) most tourist just grab a cab. Here they drive.
Thank God I have the patience of a turtle; and don't work in a place where I have to arrive at a specific time. But for those who do, I feel very sorry and feel your frustration with all these idiots on the road.
I've lived in Paris, Bangkok, Los Angeles, Sydney and even Montana. They all suck... anyone can get a behind a car and it doesn't take a govt. issued piece of paper......
drive with defense in mind..
To get to my apartment, I have to negotiate a left turn that involves two left turn lanes. I'm legally required to turn out of one of those lanes into the adjacent lane, but if you choose the leftmost lane, you end up in another turn lane that sends you back into the direction whence you came. As a consequence, drivers who find themselves in that lefmost lane typically try to turn into the next lane over, which is the lane indicated by the rightmost turn lane.
If you try to execute this turn properly, you'll usually get a long blast of someone's horn and a digital indication of that driver's IQ. Probably the schools these people attend don't teach big words like "adjacent," at least not in English, so of course they wouldn't know any better: Their schools are, after all, in Dallas.
I attribute this to the 55-mile speed limit of the '70s, when Democrats, who had no more intention of obeying this law than any other, sought to buy votes by feigning environmental responsibility. This has led, as I predicted, to near-universal contempt for all laws, with the resulting behavior you so frantically indict here.
Hey -- you voted for it. Now live with it.
Try living in Florida where every year around September thousands upon thousands of elderly people called "snowbirds" flock from the northern states to Florida. I live in the city of Venice , Florida where at this time of year everytime you go out its five miles under the speed limit, signaless turns, driving ten miles in the wrong lane before your exit cuz you are scared to change lanes.
Yet there is always the cell phone user to also blame. Everytime I see someone swaying or sitting at a green light not paying attention I look and sure enough it's a cell phone user. arghhhhhhh !!!!!
In Florida, most interstates have to top speed of 70MPH. What agrevates the dickens out of me is when I'm driving 70 to 78 in the accelerated lane and some speeding jerk comes up on my bumper thinking he's intimidating me. What he doesn't seem to comprehend is that the speed is 70 and if I'm 5 miles over the speed limit, just maybe he should slow down and start obeying the LAW! The accelerated lane is not a lane without a speed limit. Sometimes inconsiderate drivers get behind the wheel and their ego inflates and they think speed impowers them but what they're not thinking is the SAFETY of everyone else on the roads,
even if they don't care about their own lives.
