The Chevy Cruze was rated better at each passenger location as well as driver location than the Hyundai Elantra. How does the Elantra make the list and the Cruze does not?

What about reliability, gas mileage and a few other considerations? It all depends on where you put your highest priorities. Safest is important but not the only thing to think about.

The safest car in the world is the one you don't run into anything with. Most serious injuries or deaths are caused by bad drivers, not bad cars. All the crumple zones, airbags, and warning systems in the world won't help you if you have your head up your butt and pull out in front of a semi truck. Put down your cell phone and pay attention if you want to live.
