I am very disappointed. Not only is it ugly as all get out, but it's Japanese. A contract like this should have been limited to American manufactures only.
And once again we have a purpose built taxi that ignores the needs of persons with disabilities. There should be a law requiring all taxis to be ADA compliant. England requires this, the London cabs all have wheelchair ramps and tie-downs as well as equipment to assist visual and hearing impaired passengers. Why are they not required here?
I used to drive for a wheelchair transportation company and we charged $25 to load the wheelchair, another $25 to unload it, plus $0.50 per mile. Outrageous! And we were required to charge these rates by Medicaid!!! Like anybody living on Social Security or Disability can afford that...
