There are some BAD cars. A Shelby 1000. Yes a 1000! The street version has 950 HP.Disappointed

Bacchus - You you really think they didn't do extensive wind tunnel testing on that car prior to the release? That is one bad car. Those "gaps" have functionality i.e. cooling brake rotors, down force, etc. As far as Japanese copy catting, well, they are selling a lot of those. We don't have much to challenge them. The only Japanese car on the list that is made in the US is the Avalon. Toyota has a number of plants stateside. I just hope we can start taking lessons from the Japanese with work ethic and quality. Hell, we rebuilt them after WWII and now they are leaps and bounds ahead of us regarding technology, education and work ethic. We should maybe take a lesson from them. 
By the way, that isn't a Volt, it's an Impala (pic #3).

What a joke. More Japanese copy catting. The Viper is the only sports car in this pile of slot cars. I've seen better looking go carts . Glad the VOLT was in the mix.

Looking more like a vette(which I love) with every design change...but is still a goodlooking car.  When I get older, I will go from riding big bore sport bikes to this....(my Hayabusa would embarrass this $125k+ car and I have only about $20k in it.....245hp in a 550lb bike, vs 640hp in a 3500lb car)Smile

You have a good point but you don't understand the engineering,  why those panels are placed the way they are. It is about the drag and how the air flows over those panels and thru the wheel wells. It has impact from handling to speed.

Not a bad looking car but the performance is what its about.  Its not so pretty as the Euro's and I wish that Dodge would spend more time trying to fix that.  One thing that stands out to me is the huge gap between the body panels, something that most high end sports car companies would not find acceptable. 

 

The 9th photo of the front right tire and quarter panel illustrates it best.  The match of the panels isn't even even!  And that's for a car being used for a media event.

 

Love the viper, but they need to work on the asthetics.
