that's why they are called muscle cars.cars of today generate a lot more horsepower than the cars from the sixties and seventies But there is nothing like firing up your souped up chevelle SS on 98 octane gas and listening to your engine lope until you press that pedal and roars like you are at the dragstrip.we all drove these cars in highschool.we did'nt care that we were getting 7 miles to the gallon because gas was cheap.nothin like fillin up your tank for a few bucks and cruisin the drag all night.man i really miss the 70's.

May I ask, or comment to whoever does the webpage, and decided to put a slide down ad for KIA over the muscle cars.... Either your sense of humor stinks, or you're an idiot. Onto the cars... I love seeing what people can envision what many of these cars CAN be. Who thinks of a Volvo 242, that almost pure sensibility on wheels, as a potential drag car. Monster Caddy's, muscle as art, it's creativity and engineering combined. A reminder of the fact that an automobile can be more than just point A-B transportation. Cars as an expression of soul and passion.

The list of really good looking high performance cars is desperately short. From street rods with grotesque blowers popping through the hood, to Italian hyper cars which look like partially dissolved sore throat drops, the automotive world is suffering from full blockage of the style arteries. Take a note, stylists: When a '64 Rambler Classic looks better than your big dollar rides, you know you've missed the boat.
