Nice to see the Ford GT-40 in there with a win.  Having "vintage"  race cars is one thing, but having one that actually dominated the competition is great.  Now when they have Bob Glidden's Pro Stock Ford Fairmont (undefeated for 2 seasons in NHRA drag racing competition) at the show, they'll have something.  The Fairmont was the ONLY Ford competing in Pro Stock at most of the events.

Funny that you can win pebble beach and then have to have your french motorcycle pushed in the parade.

I remember when I was a kid 100 years ago and stopping in at the bookstore (had them back then) to look at all the magazines... always had to take a long look through the Dupont Registry.  Always thought through life it would be cool to go to Pebble Beach one day if I was rich to look at the cars and maybe make an opening low bid on something just to say I did for fun.  But, never got rich, and would imagine the 300 dollar ticket probably just gets a person a walk along the poor peoples side of the velvet ropes and not the champaign brunch and gold trimmed porta potties.  And doubt if I'd like any of those folks anyhow by the looks of them.  But the cars would still be cools to see.

The car show is popular.  Some of the cars will be big sellers at the Car Auction show on Speed Cable Channel.  My question is why wouldn't there any Woody's?

Most of the cars they showed look like Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang.

Uh oh, quite a few thumbs down. I must have offended the Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang owners club.

Is that Aston Martin Centennial the 4-wheel drive model?  Could it sit up a little higher?

In picture 19 of 31 is a 1965 Porsche 911 in class L-2 Postwar. In photo 25 of 31 the same car is listed as a 1963- 901 prototype class P-1. Porsche is a good car but not to be two cars at once

Who cares.  I live in Monterey and have yet to go to this rich - a$$ed event.  It's nothing more than a pretentious snobbery.

The 1955 Ferrari 250 GT shows exactly which auto was copied to make the 1964 & 1/2 Mustang ??? Even back then the US Gov't and US Corporations were stealing everything they could from the rest of the world.
