What about the 1984 Nissan King Cab 4x4? I bought one brand new, drove it over 175000 miles, two accidents to the front end, had to use a porta-power to push back the front end, slapped some stop leak in the radiator, plugged up the power steering hose and drove it another 60000 miles before selling it. The clutch was still like new. It had the NapsZ engine. A 4 banger that had eight spark plugs. That's right, two plugs per cylinder to get rid of piston lobe. Nver burned a drop of oil. Lived in Alaska most of its life. I also loved the military styled bed and the tie downs on the outside of the bed!

I think the most unique m****duced and overlooked auto of all time is the 1957-1959 Ford Skyliner tops them all. It was (is) an engineering marvel! No other car could take itself apart and put it's self back together like this car can. I have owned more than 1000 cars in my life and none ever received the attention like these. Just pull into a parking lot and work the top and you will have a huge audience. They are also a nice highway cruiser despite 12=15 mpg. Oh, and the only "hydraulics" are brakes and steering. The top operation is all gear reduction electric!

Wow, I think they write these articles to just be controversial.  Only agree with the Enzo on this list.  I can think of 50 cars I'd rather have than the other 14 listed.

There are only about 3 or 4 of your auto picks that would be included in my collection...

Matter of fact....Do Your writers know anything about collectible cars..?  lol

The only hint of legitimacy in the list is the fact that it didn't include a Prius.

Yeah this is a real complete list, what a joke.  At least they had one of the original Ford Broncos.

if top gear really wanted to kill it they just needed to sit in the rain for 2 weeks.  Every metal panel would of turned to rust and dissolved within months.
