MINI revealed Monday it will announce details regarding its expanded performance driving school as well as new app partnerships during the New York Auto Show.
Last year MINI launched a teen driving program aimed at helping young drivers learn to maneuver their vehicles safely. For 2013 MINI will offer a more performance-focused course for the 18-and-over crowd. So far, all we know is the new driving school will be taught by professional race car drivers at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
In order to better meet the needs of connected consumers, MINI will also introduce new app partnerships. MINI isn't saying which apps it will be adding to its vehicles, but the press statement did mention the features will be integrated in a useful and safe way.
Lastly, MINI provided a list of vehicles MINI fans can expect to see at the show. Visitors will be able to browse a selection of Paceman models, including the Cooper S and John Cooper Works varieties. Perfect timing for the Paceman since many began showing up in dealer showrooms just last week.
Also on display in New York will be the special edition MINI Bond Street Clubman and one of our favorites, the MINI John Cooper Works GP.
