Dear MSN, I will never understand your logic.  The core principle of your article is "legendary".  A 2014 Camaro, the 2015 Mustang and the 2014 Jaguar F-type are NOT legendary.  They are called new.  A car has to have a following and history to be considered legendary.

As a kid, growing up  (born in 1956), I was always told a story by my relatives, but I  never quite knew if it was true.

My dad recently passed away and while going through some of his personal belongings ( old family records) I came across the actual, original paperwork to verify the story.

In 1954 the local Chevrolet dealership in Charleston W.Va. was having a contest and giving away a brand new 1954 Corvette. My grandmother who was already in her late forties, (and) had no drivers license, won the Corvette.

However, my grandfather couldn't drive the Corvette stick shift, because he only had one leg ( from an industrial accident) and asked for an alternative prize. So, instead of the 1954 Corvette as the prize, the dealership gave them a 1955 2 door coupe and a 1955 4 door sedan as the grand prize.

It was such a great thing to find amongst the records.

Thought I'd share my story.

These articles are just getting more crappy. A VW bus?? How about a bug convertible instead? Oh well of course you could have had room if you didn't put the mustangs and Camaros in there TWICE!

TR-6 or spitfire? Old Cadillacs are legendary, not brand new cars. Get a grip!

As usual not a SINGLE Chrysler product, except the Jeep. And the worst thing is that Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth probably had more convertibles than any other car maker! a Chrysler Imperial convertible all the way down to a Dart and even a Front drive 600 ES and Lebaron convertible, which sold like ice on a hot day, and came with the optional turbo! and the subject is LEGENDARY Summer Convertibles, how can you have a NEW Mustang Convertible and Camaro??????? How about the LEGENDARY Cuda and Challenger convertibles??? the Road Runner drop top?, the Fury? A VW mini bus? that is just sad! Just because the author rites for Road And Track doesn't mean he know what he is talking about. lots of people CLAIM to be experts, but are not.

60 years ago my uncle,  a retired physician,  used to buy a brand new red Chrysler Convertible every year.
He just summed it up,  "it's a damn fine automobile".
