I completely disagree Patty, I am a female and my car is on that list. But I can definitely see why men love their cars. Yes I MUCH prefer driving a boy toy over a mini van any day (boring). Most of these men I'm sure have jobs and take on responsibility.

New so called muscle cars are technologic marvels for sure and I have owned my share but in the end there is NOTHING like cruising in an old REAL restored muscle car from the 60s or 70s that gets my blood flowing...Loud, rude, obnoxious and beautiful all at the same time. I have 2 in the garage that get way more attention than the C7 vette I had ever did.

Patty 777, don't think every guy is irresponsible because your baby daddy bought a new Mustang rather than pay you.  Some of us can be responsible, bill paying, stand-up citizens, who enjoy muscle cars, and can afford them RESPONSIBLY.

Patty, just because nobody asked you to prom, nobody asked you to homecoming, nobody asked you to go on a date in college, and nobody at work asks you to join them at happy hour, that doesn't mean that others aren't responsible. It just means that you are a hideous un-fun troll that wouldn't know a good time if it slathered you up in crisco and dumped you into a vat of jell-o.

Just leave this corner of the internet and return to your blog focused on crochet and cat jig-saw puzzles.

Man needs a nice diversion in life and a muscle car is a great example!  What they don,t need is women telling them what they need!

Patty 777 is very responsibile. She still drives that 72 pinto around.

Come on Patty. Get a grip. Just because you love muscle cars does not make for a un- responsibile person. Hell if women now days like them fast and furious. I'm like a few others on here in that I like the 66-70 classic muscle cars. I have a 2006 harley fat boy with only 3,000 miles on it. Anyone one here have a 70 cuda they want to trade straight across for?

Nothing better than cracking the throttle of a 650 HP Mustang...while sitting next to some wag in a Prius...knowing that deep down inside, in a place they can barely admit to knowing about....they wish THEY were the ones in the driver's seat!

while new is cool, how many of you guys  actually work on them? 50's 60's and 70's cars are awesome and most of us can still work on them at home in our garage, and  without multi thousand dollar testing tools. change out your heater core in the 60k mustang? I 'll get it done in my old falcon before you get yours apart. will yours out preform mine, yes, will yours get better fuel mileage you  bet. who's will get more respect on the street? old is where my respect is at, almost anyone can throw down money and buy a new hot rod. not everyone has the skill or drive to do the old ones any more.

Hey automotive writer, get this straight. 2 seaters ARE NOT musclecars, they are sports cars and that goes for whether they have big hp engines or not.

The corvette was never a muscle car as it can take a turn, it's always been a sports car with lots of power and the ZR-1 verges on the supercar category.

Not to mention WTF is a truck doing in a muscle car article.

Actually, it's having real cats, knitting, and owning a Ram Daytona, custom Ram Demon, jacked-up CJ7, and boo-yah...a 'Cuda 440.  No, I'm not Patty, and I hate mini-vans.  I'm the little redhead in the lane next to you as we're sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic, knitting socks behind the wheel as you gape at my ride.  Heh, boys toys indeed...

Married 41 years, manage a business, take vacations to see my grandkids . . .much of it in my C6 Corvette. You can drive a minivan and be a deadbeat, same as anything else.
