When you put LAPD's "To Protect and Serve" on a CHP vehicle, you are asking for trouble.

Why would we need police CARS in 2025?  Won't we be flying around by then?

The gov't can't spend our money fast enough.   When we are in sovereign bankruptcy, is this what our new over lords will come to round us up in?   Detroit is preparing for bankruptcy (literally), California, Illinois, MN, and NY are all on the verge of bankruptcy (notice the trend - all LIBERAL utopias).

When are you sheeple going to wake up?   That's OUR money they are already planning to spend.   They can't take away your property and spend it fast enough, then throw you in jail and call you greedy if you feel that you should be able to keep YOUR property.   WAKE UP SHEEPLE !

what's funny is this is a show... no one's authorizing these vehicles for use. everyone commenting on here is getting so upset lol and i'm pretty sure it's not because of the designs, but because everyone would be afraid to be chased down by one of these things.
honestly cops are out there to serve and protect. definitely a large percentage of them are as dirty as the criminals they're chasing, but their job is not to look sexy. so for everyone on here who commented about how ugly the cars are, maybe you should be watching America's Next Top Model because this article is much more about function than appearance.
also for u narrow-minded folk who keep complaining about the recession and how ppl are out of work, u need to step back and think about what you're saying. if any of these cars were made, THAT'S A JOB. nothing u see out in the industry just magically appears the same year that it comes out; it takes lots of time and planning. if u were smart u'd know that. and however you feel about it, you can't deny that as vehicles evolve, cops need to be able to evolve with them.
i don't do **** i shouldn't be doing, so if they wanna bring one of these out for use i don't care; i can watch them chase down the **** who cut me off in traffic.

They are thinking about police cars instead of thinking about the people out there without food, and jobs.

Maybe if those people had some support they wouldn't  commit any crimes.

If someone had a job and wasn't dying for some money, Why would they go rob someone?

Why do they need fancy cars?  The police in LA only show up if they can give you a ticket.  So if you are parking in the wrong place or after the meter runs out- response time is under 5 minutes.  If you call for a robbery they take 30 minutes to show up (if they decide to show up), fill out a form and tell you you'll never see your belongings again.  They do like to get speeders too but that is only because it is a profit center for them.   Even their high speed pursuits are leisurely - they follow behind you at several hundred feet for hours until you run out of gas or run over so many people your vehicle is no longer drivable.   They could do this with 84 Ford Escorts.
