The truth is our gas prices are inflated not by the big Oil Companies, but by our ever controlling oversize big greedy government. The liberal politicians demonize the Oil Companies for making 3 to 4 cents a gallon on gas, while the greedy politicians take 40 to 60 cents a gallon. Then the idiots in government drive up the cost of producing gas and diesel by requiring unless mandates like summer fuel blends, low sulfur requirements, banning lead and requiring ethanol to be added. For every gallon of ethanol burned we loss over 15,000 BTU’s of energy. For the useful idiots of the liberal left that means it takes more energy to produce it than we get out of it. There has never been a proven link between lead in gas and the health of people or the environment. This causes the oil companies to use even more toxic chemicals to increase the octane of gas. The summer blends of gas are only effective on cars manufactured before 1976. I guess the idiots in government still think there are billions on them still on the road. This drives us the cost for everyone by 10 plus cents a gallon. Government isn’t the answer to the problem, it is the problem.

It is all about tax, the highest prices of this group are socialist and tax the hell out of gas. Keep electing democrats in this country and we will be 8 bucks a gallon. Our government is about to tax you for the air you breath. They call it carbon tax,

The real greed...the real price gouging going on are the gas TAXES that are included in the price of gasoline at the pump.  Let's see...do the oil companies tax us, or is it the government?  When the president promises to see gas prices double, and then they double, how is it the oil companies who are greedy?

Why don't you give another half a billion dollars to Solyndra, you energy phony?  What's that...Solyndra took the money and ran?

Obama said that he wanted us paying $5/gallon. Why are you surprised it's getting there?

Wonder why there are so many US cities/states and so few European countries like Germany, France, Italy, Greece. Being biased would never enter the equation. Nay

I thought this was from "around the world", not half of them from the US.

I missed Australia on that list and I'm guessing it's up over the $8 mark somewhere.

I've been away for a long time and have lost track of their prices.

I spent a year in Turkey from 1980 to 1981. Never had my car, just a bike. One more good reason to NEVER RETURN TO THAT BACKWARD NATION!
