A Mustang is plainly one of the symbols of Pure American Automotive prowess. Every time I drive down the road and see a nice GT, or Boss, or Shelby I can't help but look and wish I had one.. Mustangs are just plain cool, classy vehicles.

The Mustang is the reason they ever built the Camaro and the Challenger. The Mustang is the reason they stopped building the Camaro and the Challenger. The Mustang is the reason they started building the Camaro and the Challenger again. Long live the Ford Motor Company and it's Ford Mustang.

The 2005 V6 has 210 not 202 hp. The 202 hp was in the Explorer, you think they would know that who wrote the article

Not really a Ford fan but I do like the Mustang. It started a great car trend in general along with the Pontiac GTO, Chevy Camaro, and the Barracuda, GTX, and Chargers. Mustangs were good from '65 to about '72. Got a little larger but better engines and transmissions. When they went small I knew it was the end. Then the '05 came out and it was obvious Ford was starting think about designs that would sell instead of trying to make a name sell a car. GM and Chrysler are doing the same with the Camaro and Challenger plus all 3 are able to make great V-6s for a reasonably powerful option. Personally I like the exteriors of these cars more than the interior design. I am talking about dash design and layouts. Sometimes I don't think interior designers are on the same page as what is best for a driver as far as gauge sizes and placement. Sometimes accessory function and placement is confusing when it should be simple and obvious. Too many tech geeks in the design kitchen distract from actually driving a great car.

The original 1964 Mustang weighed 2445 lbs. Todays Mustang? Actually, its 3712 lbs. That's a weight gain of more than 50%. Am I the only one that thinks that's a real shame? Just wondering.

I think the king cobra (and the mid to late 70's Mustangs) are ones that everyone would like to forget. I am not a Trans Am fan, but the king cobra was Ford's answer to it? What a sad comparison!
