It would be very interesting to see this new Ferrari compete against the Bugatti Veyron supercar. Though the Veyron has a much higher top speed, and Bugatti claims a sub-three-second zero to sixty time, there remains the issue of handling. Would the car that could lap a race course faster be the superior sports car? There was a guy I saw on TV who pushed the Veyron to almost it's top speed of 268 mph, and he is still alive. At such an outer-dimension of speed, does the stability of the Bugatti make it superior to a car having a top speed which is 54 mph slower? My guess would be that the superior sports car would have to aspire to what Formula 1 cars do----go around a twisty track in the shortest amount of time possible. I would love to see Road & Track or Car and Driver set up a comparison on a professional racetrack.
