Automaker recalls 2 Jeep models for fire hazards, but says they’re safe.

The upside of LED lights is they give great light and look cool. The downside is they are still ridiculously expensive to repair or replace if something goes wrong. I live in a state where we have to get our cars inspected every year. I had a taillight with 32 LED lights inside the red lens. Two of the LED's burned out, but the other 30 were working fine. The inspection station failed me for burned out light bulbs. The new taillight cost over $500 from Cadillac. That's right....over $500 to pass my safety inspection because 2 out of 32 LED's are not working. I went to a different inspection station where he passed me with no problems, but I'm not sure I like LED's anymore.
