I have always been a Corvette fan, but this thing looks awful. It has far too many different angles/colors/shifts on the exterior. Whatever happened to "smooth" in reference to exterior surface? The only hope is that it looks better in person than it does in pictures. That said, I would still rather have it than most other super cars.

this is NOT a stingray 69 70 71 72 73 they are stingrays .The body on this one looks more like a camaro and a viper mated got crossed up in the aftermath . A stingray is a car of beauty this is NOT A STINGRAY i am not a designer but i could have come up with a lot better design . looks like they could come up with something that deserves the stingray name and looks i have a 71 i have owned a 69 73 64 67 these are stingrays a little chrome the body style on these cars are and deserves the name stingray among others. Most people who have this kind of body style will agree and this one the 2014 is NOT A STINGRAY LOOK ....( DO BETTER ) the name stingray deserves it looks like cars cartoon car .

This is what happens when a bunch of child engineers are brought in to do a seasoned designers job. There is no sense of Corvette continuity - it looks like a parody/ a charicature/ a Saturday morning cartoon. People designing for a classic line should be first a fan of the car. What a shame.

I've owned 9 Corvettes from a '63 roadster, '91 ZR1, convertibles, hardtops, and I loved every one of them. I can't afford them any more, but it was fun for years! There are things I love about this new Stingray and things that will just have to grow on me. But, one thing is for sure, if one landed in my garage, I'd absolutely love everything about it! :-)

I was anxious to see the new vette but was left wondering instead of wowed. I Have owned 3 vettes ( '59, '80 and '03). The '59 was the most fun to drive at age 21. My current vette is the 50th annaversary 2003 in milennium yellow and I think it has the most sleek design todate and the best to drive todate. It does not have all the "add-on" junk on this new model and is not square but sleek and curvey. Just look at the '65 - '67 models and you see how all the "add-on" junk was removed to create the most sought after vette of them all ... the '67 427.

I've owned a C4 & C5 in the past. I was disappointed to see the classic pop-up headlights go away on the C6, now on the C7 the classic twin taillights have way too much of the Camaro look to them. It's hard to judge the interior without seeing it in person. I'm sure it runs and handles great, but overall I'm not sold on the new design yet.

I own a 79, very disapointed in this model. A person should never have to ask or wonder what kind of car is that. I agree, too much like a Camaro and the square lights should be the 1st to go. Silver wheels look much better. That said I would buy this in a heartbeat. Like Terry said, until we see it in person I have to reserve an honest factual based comment.

Over the past 30 years I've own a 54', 63', 64', 74', but due to family and lack of health had to get rid of them. Now that I'm super old and if I can save up enough money I'll own a 2014. Sure I wish I still had my mid years, but can't cry about the loss. Within the past 20 years, I believe that the 2014 is finally looking like what a vette should look like. And if someone from GM would like to give me one I would really be thankful.

It looks like they took a Camaro, Viper and Nissan ZX and merged them together. Not impressed. The Stingray of past was great because of it's design. There is a reason why the new Mustang far outsells the Camaro, as Mustang went back to it's roots. Chevy should have done that, instead of attempting to redesign it. Maybe they'll see this after sales aren't "great" and they redesign it to look like a Stingray.
