Mitsubishi i-MiEV Recalled
Faulty front and side airbags sensors to blame
Mitsubishi Motors has issued a recall for its 2012 i-MiEV electric vehicles. According to documents filed with the the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the vehicle's curtain and side airbags might not deploy, or the front airbags might deploy late during a collision because of an incompatibility between the airbag sensors and the self-diagnostic software.
No injuries or accidents associated with the recall have been reported. However, Mitsubishi will replace the incompatible airbag sensors with new, compatible units, free of charge.
More than 260 vehicles are affected in the United States.
The officer only wrote him up for the stop sign.
