Chevrolet to Show Small SUV at Paris
By David Arnouts
Chevrolet will debut the Trax, a small sport-utility vehicle, at the Paris motor show in September.
The Trax uses General Motors' global small platform, shared by vehicles such as the Chevrolet Sonic. The Trax has seating for five people.
But Chevrolet says the Trax is not expected to be sold in the U.S. market. It says the SUV is too close in size to the Equinox.
“We are happy with Equinox sales, so we'll watch and see,” a Chevrolet spokesman said.
The Trax will launch in Mexico later this year. GM says the ute will be sold in markets around the world.
