Fisker Releases Nina Drawing Ahead of New York Auto Show

Fisker Automotive has had its share of setbacks lately, but the company is continuing with plans to reveal a new model, called the Nina, at the 2012 New York auto show. On Thursday, the firm released a doodle that might be a teaser for the Nina.
From what we can see, it might also be a drawing of a spaceship, a seabird's head or a high-tech pair of scissors from Fiskars. Since its coming from Fisker, though, we're guessing it's the Nina.
Starting a successful automobile company is no mean feat; just ask Preston Tucker.
But, new Fisker CEO Tom LaSorda and company founder Henrik Fisker are betting that an influx of government money, the faith of their investors and that of their customers can last a bit longer than the company's early growing pains.
A successful debut of the Fisker Nina would certainly help with that.

Great....another fantastic looking car that won't run.
I'm upset that they're counting on govt. money. I don't agree with that at all. Why should the government give them any money? They're not producing a car for the masses that will do anything to make even the slightest dent in oil dependency or pollution.
They'll never sell in sufficient numbers to make a difference, and at those, prices, they're just status symbols and toys for the wealthy. Let them sink or swim, there are much better uses for our tax dollars than supporting a boutique automaker.
