Honda Recalls 554,000 Cars for Headlamp Fix

The low-beam headlights may not illuminate on older models, Honda says.

By Clifford Atiyeh Mar 30, 2012 9:45AM
2004 Honda CR-V, (c) MSN AutosHonda said it would recall about 554,000 vehicles to fix a potential wiring problem in the driver's headlamp switch, the company said Friday.

The low-beam lights on 2002-2004 CR-V and 2003 Pilot SUVs may not switch on, the company said, which obviously could become a problem at night. The recall will begin in late April.

A week earlier, Honda recalled 1,316 CR-V vehicles from the 2006 model year to check for poor welding in the right front lower control arm, which could cause the arm to break and affect handling.

Poor welding, faulty headlights. I thought you Japanese brand Kool-aid drinkers said everything made in Japan is perfect. That's what you've been saying for 20 years. I know a guy who owned a 2000 Accord. It was fine for about 50,000 miles and he took care of it. After about 55,000, it started having problems like crazy. Stuff broke or burned out. He dumped it for another brand. I've heard of Hondas and Toyotas with starter motors and door locks failing long before the 25,000 mile mark and I drove a Jeep Cherokee for 11 years and it was still running like new when I parted with it.

There is not any other car manufacturer that care for their customers than America Honda. They are recalled 6 to 9 years old vehicles that are out of warranty. No wonder people who buy honda always buy honda, their customers are spoiled.
