George W. Bush's pickup to hit the auction block
The former president's Ford F-150 King Ranch is for sale.
Former President George W. Bush will put his 2009 Ford F-150 King Ranch 4x4 Super Crew up for auction at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale sale on Jan. 19.
The proceeds of the sale will benefit the Fisher House Foundation, an organization that provides housing for military families while their loved ones undergo treatment in a military hospital. There are 58 Fisher Houses which have served 160,000 families since the first opened in 1990.
As mentioned, the pickup is a 2009 model. It has been tooling around former President Bush’s Crawford, Texas, ranch since just after he left office. Bush says he “hasn’t driven on a street in many, many years” and the truck looks to be in great condition.

Probably more importantly to potential bidders, the former President Bush has signed the dash of the F-150 and will provide documentation of his ownership, including the current title which is in his name.
More information on the auction is available at barrett-jackson.com. More information on the Fisher House Foundation is available on their website.
