The automaker is recalling 36,413 2008 to 2012 model-year Chevrolet Impala police vehicles because of a faulty front suspension component. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, front lower control arms may fracture, resulting in "the loss of control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.”

This safety recall does not include consumer Chevrolet Impalas

The departments that bought these defective Australian-built Chevies should've gone with the Hemi-powered Dodge Charger instead

Another poorly designed and built GM product.  This time their incompetance is putting our first responders at risk. A new low for GM.   No big suprise. They've been seeing new lows since the bailout.
