It took the Sant'Agata Bolognese plant just one year and three months from the start of production to hit the four-digit mark. The previous flagship model, the Murciélago, took more than two years to reach that milestone.

The next 18 months of Aventador production is already spoken for, so the next available slot will be near the 2,000 production mark at current build rates.

Take a look at what makes the Lamborghini Aventador so special with our Autoweek review.

This is a joke, right? No vehicle that has a hand-built engine and interior can be called "efficient". A efficiently built vehicle is something that is completely made machines in a few days. Each Aventador takes over a month to assemble by hand. Decadent, luxurious, ostentatious, maybe even well-built are words that can be used to describe the Aventador, but not "efficient".
