2013 Toyota, Scion models to see slight price increase

Camry, Prius c get new features

Toyota and Scion will be charging slightly more for certain models in 2013. And we mean slightly—the greatest change is a $500 bump up on the Scion xB and Toyota Sequoia SUV.

 

The Camry sedan, Prius c hybrid subcompact and Scion xB utility vehicle all offer new features for 2013, causing the price increase.

 

The Camry sedan will increase by $150 to a base price of $23,030, and the hybrid variant will increase by $165 for a $26,935 base price. With the increase comes Display Audio with a LCD touchscreen as standard equipment. The Camry SE will also feature a blind-spot-monitorin​g system that includes rear cross-traffic alert. The turn signal will also change to include a lane-changing setting that signals three times and shuts off automatically. The interior will see an upgrade with improved color matching and ivory seat inserts. Leather-equipped models will have updated stitching accents on the door panels, and all Camry models will receive updated door trim.

 

The 2013 Camry arrives in dealerships in early January.

 

The Prius c hybrid compact car also sees a price increase of $130. The base Prius c will now cost $19,210 when it arrives in dealerships January. Upgrades include a black SofTex dash panel on the Prius c Two and Three models, and standard SofTex-trimmed steering wheel on the top-of-the-line Prius c Four.

 

Additional features on the 2013 Scion xB include a new front bumper, glossy black lower grille, integrated LED accent lighting and a rear bumper with a black diffuser for a sportier look. Also, Absolutely red and Nautical blue metallic are added to the paint lineup to replace Stingray metallic and Elusive blue metallic. On the inside, the xB will feature light-bronze metallic accents on panels, chrome accents on the air-condition register and new seat fabric. Technology upgrades include an optional premium audio system. As a result, the 2013 Scion xB price is $18,505 , a $500 increase.

 

Base pricing for the remaining models (includes shipping):

 

- Venza: $150 increase to $28,695

- Sienna: $150 increase to $27,430

- Highlander: $150 increase to $29,865

- Tacoma: $100 increase to $18,470

- Sequoia: $500 increase to $43,450

- Tundra: $100 increase to $26,450

- FJ Cruiser: $150 increase to $27,875

- Land Cruiser: increase of $300 to $79,400

- Scion iQ: $110 increase to $16,250

- Scion FR-S: $300 increase to $25,255

It's just a $100-$150 increase...ooooo....​Are you kidding me? This made the news?  A one half of 1% increase? Either it is a slow news day or this guy really has it out for Toyota. Gas and food prices increase by that hourly and where's the big news article on that? You don't have to buy the cars if you don't want to. Go and buy Gm, Ford, or Chrysler. There's value!!

Own a Scion TC and the driving experience is fabulous. Actually have put people in the backseat and ridden in the HOV lanes. You need to watch out for the speedometer as can get carried away very easily due to the handling of the vehicle on the road. Still get looks and the car is a five year old model. It is all about the style and a skate is still a skate.

ALL these countries continue to take advantage of the USA when it comes to far trade practices.
We always end up the loser.....its time for the USA to do unto others as they do to you........and then we will see how they like it.

who cares about toyota, they have lied about their cares running away, but as a mechanis, toyota has lied to the american publice for years, it is time to kick toyota out of the USA or put the xame taxes on jap cars as they put on our cars going to japan, which is 100% tax at the port, there should be a great thing for americans and since japan automakers, thing that Americans can't build a good car are liars! we don't need any country to tell us how to build a great cars and trucks, unlike toyota that lies about their recalls a nd say their cars are the best built in the world, just another way for japan to lie and try to take more of our money back to japan, since they are still mad about losing wwll!

Since everyones wages also increase each year this is no problem for consumers. Oh wait workers wages haven't really increased in over three decades. Seems the trickle down didn't even produce a drop.
