2013 Toyota, Scion models to see slight price increase
Camry, Prius c get new features
The Camry sedan will increase by $150 to a base price of $23,030, and the hybrid variant will increase by $165 for a $26,935 base price. With the increase comes Display Audio with a LCD touchscreen as standard equipment. The Camry SE will also feature a blind-spot-monitoring system that includes rear cross-traffic alert. The turn signal will also change to include a lane-changing setting that signals three times and shuts off automatically. The interior will see an upgrade with improved color matching and ivory seat inserts. Leather-equipped models will have updated stitching accents on the door panels, and all Camry models will receive updated door trim.
The 2013 Camry arrives in dealerships in early January.
The Prius c hybrid compact car also sees a price increase of $130. The base Prius c will now cost $19,210 when it arrives in dealerships January. Upgrades include a black SofTex dash panel on the Prius c Two and Three models, and standard SofTex-trimmed steering wheel on the top-of-the-line Prius c Four.
Additional features on the 2013 Scion xB include a new front bumper, glossy black lower grille, integrated LED accent lighting and a rear bumper with a black diffuser for a sportier look. Also, Absolutely red and Nautical blue metallic are added to the paint lineup to replace Stingray metallic and Elusive blue metallic. On the inside, the xB will feature light-bronze metallic accents on panels, chrome accents on the air-condition register and new seat fabric. Technology upgrades include an optional premium audio system. As a result, the 2013 Scion xB price is $18,505 , a $500 increase.

- Sienna: $150 increase to $27,430
- Highlander: $150 increase to $29,865
- Tacoma: $100 increase to $18,470
- Sequoia: $500 increase to $43,450
- Tundra: $100 increase to $26,450
- FJ Cruiser: $150 increase to $27,875
- Land Cruiser: increase of $300 to $79,400
- Scion iQ: $110 increase to $16,250
- Scion FR-S: $300 increase to $25,255

Good grief guys, relax! Sorry to disagree with you as I'm a technician myself and have worked on GM, Ford and Toyota products. Even with the stupid move Toyota pulled off back in 09-10, I have to tell you that based on experience a lot of the Toyota vehicles since the mid 90s have been tough reliable performers with documented cases of cars/pickup trucks reaching the million mile mark. They've had their problems too; such as the oil leak headaches with the 6-cylinder head gaskets for some years and the rust problems of some 1980s models that incorporated recycled steel. For mid-sized cars, as far as durability, the Camry has been hard to beat. As a former GM car fan I've had to face the reality that today, Toyota vehicles are the "standard" that GM, Ford, Chrysler, are compared to. When I was a kid back in the day, Chevrolet was the "all around" standard to beat. But when the American auto industry's big-3 vehicle quality took a major dip in the 1980s, Toyota was already reading the big 3s' old play book and marketing strategies while listening to what consumers actually wanted in new vehicles (especially women). Toyota (and later, Honda) made it a goal to win Americans over by producing quiet running mid sized cars with riding qualities close to that of larger American cars. A lot of us snickered when we saw the Toyota commercials. But I still remember how shocked I was when I sat in a small plain, Japanese "box" (forgot which model) that had reclining seats; something that not even the Camaro Z28 or Pontiac Trans Am had inspited of the demand by consumers! The attitude of the GM and Ford brass seemed to project: "Americans are too loyal, they'll take what we give them." I often pushed the "By American car ideal" until I test drove and bought my first Toyota in the mid-90s and racked up many miles with no mechanical failures, other than the normal wear and brakes pads, etc. Yet, not too long ago a friend of mine's engine in his Chevy engine locked up while cruising on a highway 50 miles away from home. In a nutshell, I'm willing to pay a bit more for something that's going to be reliable for at least 15 years without major headaches..........just like the old GM cars of the 60s and early 70s could.
As long as people continue to spend, the manufacturers will continue to gouge!!!
Too many people watch the example the gubmint sets-------------------that is why they are in debt!!!!
