Best Domestic Car Deals at Memorial Day Weekend Sales

As summer kicks off, so do increased dealer incentives. Consumer Reports outlines the best bargains.

By Exhaust Notes May 24, 2011 12:30PM
Car dealers love using holidays to push deals on an assortment of vehicles, and Memorial Day is a big one for dealer discounts.

Consumer Reports has compiled a list of some of the best Memorial Day deals from domestic brands, and notes that "regional and local offers, as well as bonus incentives that are targeted at specific audiences, such as military personnel or college graduates, may further sweeten the deal." Their Bottom Line Price feature shows new-vehicle costs that are below the manufacturer's suggested retail price when factoring in all national incentives; you can access it by clicking on the blue-highlighted text in this post. Those numbers should provide "a strong starting point for your negotiations, working up from the rock bottom, rather than haggling down from MSRP or even advertised offers."

Consumer Reports' best domestic deals are listed after the jump.
