Prices are dropping?? Seriously?? Oh, wait, you mean kind of like gas prices are (NOT) dropping, huh?

Why would I buy a used car with close to, or right at, 100,000 miles on it when I can buy a brand new car with maybe 10 miles on it for just a couple thousand more than what's being asked for the used car?

I know I can buy one new for $16,000 but I will take it used for $17,500.  WTF is wrong with the idiots that write these articles?

If I were looking for a good deal on a 3 year old car, I would find cars that had excellent reliability and safety scores when new, excellent durability scores when 2 or 3 years old, and very poor residual values in the ALG guide book. Any car that met those three criteria would be an excellent used car value as long as you plan to keep it for several years. Did you ever consider that method? Seems easier and more reliable than the method you chose.

I've got the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. I bought it from a dealership with - get this... less than 2,100 miles. It was a loaner car to the Phillies management that year. It's black, with grey cloth interior. It was/is in mint condition. It gets me to & from my ride to work - a 150 miles a week round trip on one tank per month. It's fast & SUPER quiet , stealth you might say...fast & smooth as silk on the pick up. I adore this damn thing. SYNC is great. I do not drive like a fraidy cat, I pound on a car - I drive like I'm on my own raceway (not such a good thing I know) but this thing handles the tight curves, handles the quick/short stops, handles the speed I put it through the paces with...I would tell anyone if you find one with low mileage - scoop it up. You'll be glad you did.

This is a rather odd mix. Can't say I would agree on the japanese vehicles. They want too much as with the kia soul which is more than NEW. Reckon people really are stupid or careless in thinking when it comes to perceived quality and reliability. But it is every ones right to waste their money the way they choose to.

A 2010 Kia costs more now then it did when new in 2010?  A brand new 2013 doesn't cost the $17, 729 that the used 2010 does?  http://www.kiaofgastonia.com/new-Gastonia-2013-Kia-Soul-%2b-KNDJT2A68D7528828

I think maybe there's some mistakes in here.

Why does it always seem Nissan gets no love in any comparison article,  My Maxima is awesome, it is a 2010 and loaded, I got it new and have about 110k on it.  I never had a issue, no problems and its still driving the same as the day I took it home.
