I sold my 1994 Silverado and I recently bought a 6 yr. old RAV-4 because the Highlander was a couple of thousand more. Really like it- only thing, there is a bit of road noise going down the highway, and the spare tire cover rattles around a bit over bumps.
I guess they didn't want to list 2 Toyotas.

Two of the worst: Dodge Durango and Jeep Cherokee. Avoid like the plague..as in NEVER again will I own a Dodge?Chrysler product. In terms of reliability, these are at the bottom. My picks: Mazda and TOyota for low cost maintenance and reliability. BMW has pretty good reliability, but way too expensive to maintain.
As far as the made in USA goes: many are made in the US..BMW, Toyota, Subaru, Honda, heck even Mercedes...better quality without the unions! GM? Cold day in hello before I ever own another...poor record of reliability, quality control is lacking, and the tax payer and share holder RIPOFF by Obama in giving BILLIONS to GM and the UAW getting 50% of GM is criminal. THey should have gone BK and reemerged like other companies do..and they STILL OWE billions to the Treasury (that's we the people). Example of their foolishness: Chevy Volt..$45k, no one is buying them and poorly made (go see in showroom). The Volt was a politically correct, Obama pushed car for the supposed GREEN mantra of the current President..a joke of a vehicle.
