For me best road trip car is one with comfort... I drive a Honda Touring model and Infiniti M class... both expensive and both great rides.. This article should have been named "Fast road trip cars" they are not the 'Best'

The article starts off by stating these cars are 400+ Horsepower... so all the comments about smaller engines and pricing miss the point of the article...

Most of those cars cost an arm and leg and break down fast and cant even measure up to the quality of a Corolla or Camry...

Who can afford to take a trip after buying one of these..what a crock. Best road car I have ever had was a 2003 Buick Le Sabre Limited...loaded up with everything but a sunroof and supercharger and I didn't want those 2 things anyway. If you cruised between 75 and 80 mph I got 28 to 30 mpg. Under 75 she got 32 mpg....top that with a riceburner with the same level of safety and comfort....
