Beware of leasing. I used to be lease a car or two in my lifetime. No more. I turned in my lease 10K under the mileage, detailed, new tires when they should of been covered. Two weeks later I get a letter from Toyota Financial explaining I owe them $385.95. It is called a Disposition Fee. I was furious. Yes, if you legal beagles want to say read the paperwork. okay. However, during the closing paperwork, they should of pointed that out when explaining the residual. Ok, my fault, but I bought so many cars from this dealer I didn't even think to read all the fine print.
Toyota financial is in California. My car was in Pennsylvania. Toyota sold the car from one dealer in PA to another dealer in PA. TF said it was for getting the car ready for auction. I explained to them you sold it immediately to another dealer. What prep are you talking about? They said tough "sh*t" and pay up or it goes to collection.
Never again folks. Not another Toyota...PERIOD!!! You should see all the friends at this dealership, walking away from me like I had the plague.
Of course, if I leased or bought another Toyota, I did not have to pay.
