You basically said you just liked all the old ones with not liking any newer films which is buyist and untrue (with the exception of drive which was good half way through and turned grotesque and murdeous, and the other kurt russel flickwasn't bad but twisted and about a lunatic madmen driver). I really feel that whoever wrote this just has bad taste. I mean days of thunder is a film for the family and gone in 60 seconds is totally a guy flick for "guys who like movies about car." Also the fast and furious movies are in no way "worst" i would not say all of them are "winners" but they are at least ok. Godbless

Who writes this???  Some picks were on, some were off and above all a car guy knows that a 1970 Charger R/T is NOT a ponny car.  Idiot.

The picture for "The fast and the furious" was from the 3rd movie not the first, and the picture thats supposed to be from the 1st Smoky and the Bandit is from the 2nd movie. The writer sure didn't spend much time on research!

You forgot "Duel" with Dennis Weaver and a 1971 Plymouth Valiant.  lol

Even though their not technically "car" films.....I would have to add the car chase scene in French Connection as well as The 7-Ups. And then there's the smash-em-up ending scenes in the Blues Brothers. "We got a full tank of gas. A half-a-pack of cigarettes. It's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. HIT IT!"

What about Christine? Is that not one of the greatest car movies of all time? Come on a 1957 Plymouth Fury posessed by the devil.....How does it get any more American than that.

BEST: '70 Charger in Fast and Furious. This is my opinion...I'm a 56 year old woman.....they aren't just for guys anymore LOL

The Porsche that Steve McQueen drove in "Le Mans" was a 917.

What? The original "Gone in 60 Seconds" didn't make the list? Sure it was made low budget, but the car chase was epic!!
Wasn't it "Two-Lane Blacktop" the movie that ended with the film burning up? I was bummed.
That was as bad as The Sopranos ending.

If the author has chosen "Drive" as a great car movie, you might as well throw in "Driving Miss Daisy" with a ton of classic iron for the same reason.
