I am a CR subscriber and I appreciate their input on many products. However, I have a real problem with their automobile reviews. I subscribe to a few Automobile Magazines and have spent a number of years on the Banking side of the Automobile Industry. My feeling is that the CR car people are not car people. There is something very different about a car as opposed to a refrigerator or some other product. It is a emotional or subconscious feeling that you have or you don't.. They don't have it.

So xc90 is a vehicle that is actually off-road capable, so yea it is a bit of a rougher ride than most of the competition.. and honestly, without adding in all the top end tech.. they are creating a vehicle that does something amazing.. IT WORKS. all those other high end luxury suv's cost far more than the xc90 and what you get more than anything is a car with a whole bunch of untested tech that will break down and stretch your warranty.

Having CR review cars is like having Stevie Wonder review the new Fall Colors.
They are the type of car folks that would down-grade a Ferrari LaFerrari because of fuel economy or lack of cup holders.
If you want to get better carreviews, then read ANY auto magazine and leave the review of toasters and microwave ovens to CR

Well I can tell you that the Nissan Versa ousells ALL other sub-compact cars by a LOT. The Versa outsells the Toyota Yaris by TRIPLE figures. I test drove a 2012 Versa SV sedan about a month ago & liked it so I bought it for the Wife. I drive a 2009 Versa hatchback which has I think a little better interior quality but I like the sleek look of the sedan better. The Versa has a crazy amount of interior room for a compact car & the back seat leg room is bigger than a Nissan Maxima. The Versa will probably end up the year 2012 with about 120,000 units sold which is not bad for a car MSN has rated one of the worst for 2012, somebody must like it!
