I cannot make up my mind if your researchers are stupid or just plain lazy and
incompetent, saying that the Chrysler 300 SRT is able to reach 175 The Charger
SRT8 reaches 180 mph The regular Charger Police Package just clocked out at 152 mph.
And with the Brimbo Brakes can stop with the best of them, The New AWD Dodge Charger just sent a lap record at Gratton International Speedway, at 1:33:85, not quite as fast as the two wheel drive
2012 Charger at 1:33:70, but that is about as close as you can get, and better than any other
Police vehicles Tested this year.
Maybe you are just bias against Chrysler, that happens also, and people just can not stand the truth.
North Carolina Highway Patrol has reported not  one transmission failure, in any Chargers purchased which number in the 1000'"s cannot do better than that.

The Chevy SS…I'll believe it when I see it. Supposedly there are only about a 1000 of them in the U.S. now. But since there is a problem within Holden and GM, it is said they may not come to fruition here. Being that it's GM, it doesn't surprise me. They should have left Pontiac alone. We owned both an '08 G8 V6 and a '09 G8 GT "aka" Holden Commodore VE. Both very nice cars and reasonably priced. Not like this Chevy version of the Holden VF series now priced at $44k.

I'm glad I didn't hold my breath waiting for the Chevy SS. My '13 Challenger R/T 6 speed meets all my needs... V8, stick shift, rear wheel drive, heavy, comfortable, good looking, 0-60 in the mid 5 sec. range. 18 mpg around town driving it hard isn't bad at all. I was very happy with the 26 mpg it did on the highway. All for mid $30k range.

Like all MSN auto stories they got some right and some wrong. In order to be a sporty fun 4 door car handling is not enough, to me it also has to be fast. Several of his picks are not fast .For example: the Buick is not fast 1/4 15.2 @ 98, the Acura only does 1/4 in 14.7 @ 98, neither are very quick 0-60. The SRT 8 Charger 1/4 is 12.8 @ 115 and the SHO twin turbo 1/4 is 13.7 @ 103 and both are fast from 0-60. Before anyone says they don't handle they both did surprisingly well in MotorTrend road tests.  So why were they left off the list? The Chevy SS is a NASCAR Chevy gimmick. They may never reach the streets or if they do there will so few  that they don't count so why include it?  Research the writers for MSN auto and you get an insight  as to why they choose certain cars over others based on their backgrounds.

Close, but no cigar! There is no way the Acura or VW belong on that list. I've never driven the VW, but it doesn't seem to have the goods. I have driven the Acura and it definitely doesn't have the goods! The rest of the list are cars I would be very happy to drive anytime....even the Mitsubishi and that bumpy little Subaru. I'm getting too old to drive cars that ride like that thing, but it is fun.

Shameful that you didn't include the Chrysler cars. I'll give you an "incomplete" for now so you have an opportunity to fix it..
