2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition
The 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition made its debut Thursday at the Chicago Auto Show. It joins the Black Edition in the GT-R lineup, and features rear-seat delete, among other track-focused changes. Production is limited to 150 cars for the United States market, and it will hit dealerships in May.
The suspension is upgraded on the Track Edition. It gets specialized Bilstein DampTronic gas pressure shocks with higher spring rates. Nissan says most of the development happened on the Nurburgring, one of the most demanding tracks in the world. The guides that direct air over the front and rear brakes were also refined.
Other upgrades include a lightweight, dry carbon-fiber spoiler and metallic black six-spoke wheels with Dunlop tires. The Track Edition is offered in five colors: blue pearl, black, red, gunmetal and pearl white.

All 2014 Nissan GT-Rs use the company's 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 making 545 hp and 463 lb-ft of torque. Power is put down through all four wheels with a sequential six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Stability is controlled by a computer that calculates speed, lateral acceleration, steering angles, tire slip, road surface and yaw. The central screen can display the info with 11 pages of available information.
Pricing hasn't been revealed, but we wouldn't assume it would be much different from the $109,300 Black Edition.
