Ford Focus ST and no Corvette???  You have got to be kidding me!!  I don't even like Corvettes but I acknowledge they are one of the best, affordable sports cars of all time.  Come on!!

HANG ON...A FORD FOCUS, but no Mustang, Challenger, Vette or Camaro?  This author is void of brain cells, possibly a brain stem.  NO Focus is MORE fun or a better "driver" car than those, EVER, no matter WHO you are.

As "sad" as it is...The ONLY time one opts for a FOCUS over those is when they can't AFFORD the others, and other than the Vette, ALL are relatively speaking AFFORDABLE.

Other than THAT, not bad story, but RUINED by putting a FOCUS in OVER those.

Motor trend is always dedicated to the furthering of foreign cars.  Always has been.  Like Car and Driver and Consumer Reports, they have irrational prejudices against American cars.  (I know, I see the Viper).  No matter how many butt whipping the Cobras, Cobra Coupes and GT-40's gave Ferrari, Jaguar and Porche in the 60's and 70's...Motor trend never let a chance go by to mock the Cobras for the "Fairlane" engine and fawn all over Ferrari.   Loser aggrandizement.

This list is a joke. Chose an M6 instead of an M3 or M5? and didn't put in the FRS which is made to be a drivers car, and a car that the average person can actually enjoy. They just just threw together a list of expensive cars that they think are sporty.

If there is strong disagreement among readers versus what "MT" has published, please consider this:
The publication is known as "Motor Trend", which, if taken the name literally, is a publication that follows "trends" in motoring, which is the consumer buying public.  It does not mean their staff are experts, it does not mean what MT will print is sensible.  How many times in our culture have we seen society embrace something that was not sensible?  And MT does not take a stand that what they will publish will be unbiased, . . . the auto manufacturers' advertising dollars is a significant chunk of change that keeps MT in business.  Would MT bite the hand of what keeps MT in business?

If MT was unbiased and truthful with publishing its articles, the pipeline of new autos sent to MT, for tests and driving impressions, would dry up, as auto manufacturers would boycott the publication.  Furthermore, MT's Ad revenues would take a big hit with the same manufacturers yanking the print Ad dollars from the magazine.
