Don't care about the celebrities promoting cars...It's the ones that push the Reverse Mortgages that need to go.  The interest on the money you use is out of this world.  Old folks need to beware.
The new Crysler Commericals with Will Farrel are just fricking Stupid and annoying!! Sop with all the BS and promote to car if it is a good product it will sell!

I buy a car because of what I know about it, not because it is promoted by a celebrity. I think the companies gamble too much and overspend when signing a celebrity endorser.

I must say, however, that the Chrysler Cordoba ads of the 1970s with Ricardo Montalban worked well. His accent is part of it...but I could actually see him driving that kind of car, with its mix of sportiness and luxury. I also remember Jack Jones singing, "What a beautiful New Yorker; it's the talk of the town" for Chrysler around the same time. Again, the car and the celebrity were a good match: polished, smooth, and upscale.

"The ads have not yet run on television, but they have gone viral on social media sites...."

Earth to Kirk Bell.  Uh, where have you been?  The Dodge Durango ads featuring Will Ferrell as fictional anchorman Ron Burgundy have been airing on TV for at least 2 weeks.

Believe me, it wasn't Celine Dion's endorsement that was bad for Chrysler- it was Chrysler, period. After my 3rd try with them I finally got the message, Chrysler is just a bad car.

I make it practice not to buy anything a celebrity has promoted, mostly because the price of the item is inflated to pay them and the celebrity more than likely doesn't use the product anyway.

i don't know what was worse, Wilt advertising for the VW Bettle, or him wearing those tiny shorts..

Remember the Lopez Fiat ads where she was zooming around the Bronx talking about how much she loved it there?  Then the truth came out, they did a green screen CGI thing to put her so it looked like she was driving the car, and it was filmed in southern California with a professional woman driver?  Too funny.  She never even drove the car, or even in the state of New York, or even on that side of the U.S.  Just hilarious.

Ads with "Stars" turn me off, and has the opposite effect.  If it has a celebrity I don't watch them

I want to see O'Neal get out of the Buick with no help.  Talk about a stupid commercial, lets pack a guy in a car of which he does not fit...
