I'm sorry, but how is $20K considered affordable? It's a shame car prices have become so inflated the last 20 years. I remember in the 90's when you could buy a nicely equipped F-150 for around $15K, and just 8 years ago you could buy a new Focus for $10K. I am shocked at the prices now. In less than a decade the price for cars has doubled, and the price of a truck has trippled.

Seriously...  A young family starting out (as an example), in trouble in today's economy, absolutely struggling to survive on BOTH incomes...  $20.000.00 for a used car is the answer.... are you kidding me?!  Who writes these things?!  Apparently someone much better off than the AVERAGE low to  mid income American.

Where are the affordable cars in this list???
Maybe you need to be looking at cars under $10,000 if your wallet is nearly empty and not cars at $20,000.

you got to be kidding me, there out to be a law to stop this expensive car frenzy

very soon people will stop buying cars until the prices go down, in fact that is starting to happen, dealers go out of their way to sell you a car and when they do sell you a car, you feel like you just got rape and happiness of owning a car, goes  away. PLEASE STOP OVER PRICING NEW CARS

I just bought a brand new 2014 Nissan Versa sedan for $12,700. I didn't see it listed in the group. Of course it has a standard transmission, roll up windows and manual door locks. If you leave off all the unnecessary junk that drives up the price, good deals can still be had.

I was always given to understand that a sedan is a 4 door, that hyundai elantra is a 2 door, which i thought made it a coupe., hardly a family car.
