If you asked me, this is one of the WORST collections (with a few exceptions) that comprise great cars for daily driving.  If you had labeled this "best cars for commuting", or "best cars for efficient driving" I might have agreed.  I prefer fun and some level of engagement and these cars (again, only a few exceptions) are seriously lacking.

One Chevy, One Ford... And the rest imports. No thanks. And I agree that the Miata would be the only fun one of the group. And I guess the Impreza would work for those of us in the colder climate areas during the winter. A Nissan Versa great for daily driving? I seriously doubt it.

Einstein said "doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results" is the first sign of insanity.   Why do I keep reading these stupid MSN articles????

I drive a FORD FIESTA, and get way better mpg than the Focus listed here, so fun to drive. Who writes this stuff? and why wouldnt all the cars be listed that get great gas mpg? this article is biased by the writers, and then they put it up ? Not right.......I agree, they shouldnt even write this crap, very misleading.  FIESTA DRIVERS UNITE!!

What is the point of this article? Why would I want to own and drive any of these? The Miata is fun, and the Tesla and Volt are a sign of things to come, but the others are just boringmobiles to get you from point a to point b. There is nothing here.

15 great cars for daily driving: Audi A6................for only $42,000 you can step down from the 6 cylinder and get the 4 banger for better mileage.  People need to stop entertaining these manufacture's creations of overpriced cars. I stopped on the way home for the hell of it to look at what kind of space I would have in an A6 compared to any midsized sedan. The interior space was smaller than that of a Toyota Camry. For this Prestige model they were asking $63,000. There is not enough comfort in those seats for $63K!!!

The Mazda 3 should be #1 on this list.  It's ultra-reliable, gets great gas mileage, and is a blast to drive--as are most Mazdas.  It comes in sedan and hatchback body styles.  The redesign is due out later this year and should be a little more of the same, but the old model is still a great car, and you should be able to get a deal on one.

The only car in the list that I can say is truly fun to drive is the Mazda MX-5 Miata, other than than I don't think that any of the others cars are fun to drive in a daily driving.
