14 craziest cars at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show
By Perry Stern of MSN Autos
The Geneva Motor Show is the European venue of choice for many carmakers to debut their newest products: It's huge, attendance is always high, and media coverage abounds. But there's another side to this annual show: the wilder side. You can always count on seeing extreme, limited-edition vehicles -- sometimes from car companies or tuners you never knew existed. These vehicles are the least likely to pull up next to you at a stoplight -- and that's probably a good thing, since their looks tend to distract. So click through and enjoy the wild vehicles of Geneva from the relative safety of the Internet.

Koenigsegg Agera S Hundra
Swedish automaker Koenigsegg started building cars just over 10 years ago, and last September the company hit the milestone of its 100th vehicle built. Clearly, Koenigseggs are very exclusive, but one collector is going to get this special Agera S, called the Hundra — Swedish for 100. The beautiful, clear carbon body panels were treated with hand-laid and swirled 24-karat gold leaf inlay, making this Agera S truly one in a — hundred.

Gumpert Apollo S
The Gumpert Apollo S certainly doesn't look like anything else on the road, partly because of its unique styling and partly because only 70 have been built, so seeing one of these in the wild is a rare occurrence. But it's not just the unusual lines and stylish flat paint that set this car apart from others — it boasts a 750-horsepower biturbo V8 engine and a lightweight chassis that make it possible to reach 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 224 mph. In 2009, the Apollo S went around Germany's Nürburgring-Nordschleife in just 7 minutes, 11 seconds, making it the fastest street-legal car ever to lap the famed track.

RUF Clubsport
If this car looks like a Porsche Cayman on steroids, that's because it's basically just that. RUF has been transforming Porsches since 1975, and this CTR3 Clubsport is the German company's flagship. The bodywork enhances a standard Cayman with carbon embellishments on the wheel arches, sill panels, engine lid and rooftop air intake. With horsepower boosted to 777 with 723 lb-ft of torque, the Clubsport has been transformed into a true midengine supercar.

Gemballa Tornado
This Porsche Cayenne-based SUV is not a vehicle for the person who wants to blend in with the crowd. Blending is not something the Gemballa Tornado does well. However, the Tornado is perfect for standing out and accelerating away from that crowd. Most of the body panels have been replaced with carbon components for both style and weight reduction. The Tornado is wider and lower than the Cayenne, and with power output increased to 721 horses, the Tornado has a top speed of close to 200 mph.

Weismann GT MF4-CS
Weismann is a small sports-car maker in Germany that hand builds each of its high-performance vehicles to order. In fact, it takes about 110 workers more than 350 hours to complete just one Weismann, which makes these cars rather rare. The GT Clubsport that made its world debut in Geneva, however, will be even rarer — a mere 25 will be created to celebrate the company's 25th anniversary. Available with a roll bar, fully adjustable chassis, sport brakes and sport bucket seats, the MF4-CS looks ready to hit the track. Backing up the racing accoutrements is a 420-horsepower V8 engine that kicks the CS to 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds.

Hamann Spyridon
Aside from the distinctive shape of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, Hamann Motorsports has practically created a new vehicle in the Spyridon. Clearly based on the aforementioned German SUV, the Spyridon stands out during the day with a wider stance, unique paint and more power. The original AMG V12 engine is massaged to deliver 100 additional horses for a total of 702. But it's at night that this car really stands out. The company's Pegasus logo is emblazoned on the hood and spare-tire cover with a newly developed paint that glows when a small amount of voltage is applied.

Giugiaro Parcour
To celebrate 45 years in business, Italdesign Giugiaro created this GT car designed to tackle rugged terrain like an SUV and handle the road like a sports car. The striking design and large, off-road tires say this vehicle is ready to handle almost anything that can be thrown at it. Inside, the driver can choose among one of four modes at the touch of a button — comfortable driving, off-road driving, snow-driving and driving at the track. An electronic system modifies the handling, ride height and engine setup. Completing this sporting package is a 550-horsepower Lamborghini V10 engine.

Spania GTA Spano
Sure, we're used to seeing exotic sports cars from Italy and Germany, but it's unusual to spy one from Spain. Spania GTA has many years of motorsports experience, but this Spano is its first attempt at creating a car for street use. With an in-house-developed 8.4-liter V10 engine that produces 900 horsepower, the Spano is the most powerful and fastest sports car built in Spain, the company says. Just 99 of these sleek machines will see production.

Mercedes-Benz SLS Electric Drive
The gull-winged Mercedes SLS is already a powerful, sexy car; now Mercedes has made it sexy under the skin. The SLS Electric drive is powered by four electric motors — one at each wheel — that combine to generate 740 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque in complete silence. Not only can this electric car accelerate from zero to 62 mph in less than four seconds, but the individual electric motors can be controlled in unison to offer a variety of driving settings, including sport-plus, which applies power and braking at each wheel to give the sports car amazing handling. Unfortunately, Mercedes says it does not plan to bring this one to America.

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Green Carbon
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport, with its 1,001 horsepower, is without question unique, but for Bugatti buyers there is often a wish to be, ahem, more unique. At this year's Geneva show, Bugatti pays homage to the legendary Bugatti Royale with yet another special-edition Veyron. The carbon-fiber skin has been treated to a Green Carbon tone, while the 20-inch wheels have a green and silver finish. The motif of the dancing elephant used on the Bugatti Royale from 1926-33 is embossed on the front of the air intakes. This particular Grand Sport is priced at around $2.5 million.

Brabus B63S-730
Brabus is well-known for its custom work done on the latest Mercedes models, enhancing both style and performance. One of the company's newest creations debuts at this year's Geneva show: the B63S-730. Based on the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake, the B63S stands out from the standard CLS with special 20-inch wheels and a completely custom interior. But much of the work is done under the skin: The B63 takes the AMG V8 and bumps it to 730 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque, giving the wagon a top speed of 217 mph and ability to reach 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds.

KTM X-Bow GT
The X-Bow GT is the latest rendition of the extreme sports car from Austria-based KTM. As with the previous X-Bow R, the GT features a carbon-fiber monocoque, fixed Recaro seat shells and other features typically only found in race cars. Brandishing a 2.0-liter 285-horsepower 4-cylinder engine provided by Audi, the X-Bow GT reportedly reaches 62 mph in just over four seconds. The new GT adds a frameless windscreen, which takes nothing away from excellent visibility but removes the need to wear a helmet.

Mansory Bentley Sanguis
There's nothing worse than spending $200,000 on a new Bentley and seeing one just like it in the lane next to you. This is unlikely to be an issue if you're driving the Mansory Sanguis. This customized Continental GT is widened and has a carbon-fiber hood, new rear apron, custom paint and 22-inch wheels. The exhaust system is modified, and the 12-cylinder engine is bumped to 672 horsepower. Special grain leather and a new sport steering wheel complete the package.

Pagani Huayra
It may be difficult to say, but the Huayra is certainly easy on the eyes. The extreme sports car from the Italian automaker is the perfect follow-up to the company's previous offering, the Zonda. Named for the god of wind, the Huayra actually uses control flaps much like an airplane, as well as an adjustable ride height to maintain optimal control at high speeds. And the Huayra is certainly capable of high speeds, thanks to its AMG-supplied turbocharged V12 engine putting out 730 horsepower.
