can't buy a standard in USA anymore, without going thru a ton of hassles.
Who is getting the cars that get 100+ MPG?
They are out there - but the oil companies don't want them to be sold.
Talk about big business sticking together - Oil and Auto's. Prices of both keep going up, but we got better gas mileage on those old 1950's and 60's tanks, than on the newer 'lighter more fuel economic models"
What a bunch of balogny - and big biz keeps doing it to us.
Still driving a old, old, old car.
Many years ago, when Hyundai just entered the US market, hubby and I visited Montreal. We saw a couple of Hyunai models, including a pickup truck, that weren't in the USA--yet. We were told they were 'coming to the US in a few months.' Nope-never entered the market here.
We did purchase a Hyundai Excel that just recently had entered the market; there were just 3 on the lot to chose from!! We had it for 160,000 miles!! Not a bad car, at all.
There are more cars in Mexico that the USA does not get, like the Nissan X -Trail, sold in Japan, AustraIia and Mexico. Google it, it is very nice and a 4X4 too! As far as Peugeot I love them, excelent robust cars not like Ford or Chevrolets which are slowly dying, sorry but it is what it is.
